Every 12.9 minutes someone completed suicide in 2012.
In 2012, there were 40,600 suicides in the United States.
There is one suicide for every 25 attempted suicides.
Every day approximately 105 Americans take their own life, and 2,700 more attempt to do so.
Among young people aged 10-14 the rate has doubled in the last two decades.
Suicide was the 10th leading cause of death in the U.S. in 2010.
